Final Year, Freelance Dreams & Fish at an Italian
Being a photography student isn’t for the weak—even for someone as highly organised as me. No two days look the same right now, and honestly? I love it. Give me a chaotic to-do list over a boring routine any day. I’m in the thick of it: juggling deadlines, clean eating, long uni commutes to Huddersfield, client work, and setting up my freelance business. My secret weapon? A checklist. Mornings start early—6:00am sharp (yes, really). My routine is simple: get out of bed before I scroll too long, and eat something. Today it was overnight oats, which I’m slowly warming to as part of my new clean eating kick, as long as the protein powder is chocolate flavoured. After breakfast, I headed out on a 5km walk— I got some well needed fresh air as my nerves were brewing for a big uni presentation. I arrived with just under 30 minutes to spare, which was plenty of time to overthink everything. But when it came time to present, I actually felt calm—and I didn’t forget my words. It’s always scarier in my head than it actually is. To celebrate surviving the day, I headed to my friend’s 21st. I stuck to my 90% whole foods goal and ordered salmon with stir fry veg at an Italian (I know its not the vibe, but 10/10).
My Salmon surrounded by amazing smelling pizza’s and pasta’s 🥲
Home by 10pm, designated driver badge proudly worn. I didn’t get around to photography admin—which is why I’m finishing writing this… a week after it happened. What does a busy day look like for you right now? Do you thrive in chaos or crave structure? Let’s chat in the comments or on Instagram—I'd love to hear how you’re navigating your own version of the hustle.
